The Plug West

The Plug West is on Frederik Hendrikstraat in Amsterdam West, just along from De Supermarkt. For years the shop was Hugo de Groot (and before that Westside and Dali); in 2022 it joined The Plug group.

When it reopened, The Plug said the branch would have no seating – it's a buy-and-go shop. Even as Hugo de Groot it was a place people came to buy rather than hang out, and it was known for its specials and competitive prices.

The menu covers the full range: a 2024 menu listed Californian imports, Dutch-grown staples such as Lemon Haze and Super Silver Haze, and a selection of hash. The Plug is also one of the licensed growers in the Dutch government's regulated cannabis trial. The shop opens early and closes late.
