New Times Amstelstraat

This is the second branch of New Times, whose original shop is at Spuistraat 260. It sits on Amstelstraat, which runs from Rembrandtplein down to the Amstel through one of the city's busiest nightlife strips.

The address has a past: it was once Old Amsterdam, remembered for its hash, and then Kooi. Today it is New Times, a clean, modern coffeeshop selling cannabis, edibles and accessories.

It opens early, at 7am, and stays open until 1am, so it suits a morning visit as well as a night out around Rembrandtplein.
